As a preview to the Dental Economics September Best of Class Technology Awards supplement, we’re taking a closer look at one of this year’s two-product award winners, AMD Lasers. Keep reading to learn about AMD’s winning products, the LiteTouch Er:YAG dental laser and the Picasso+ 7.0-watt soft-tissue laser, and see our exclusive interview with the manufacturer.

Decided each year by a panel of dental technology experts following the Chicago Midwinter Meeting, the Best of Class Technology Awards recognize the dental products—from software, to materials, to lasers, and everything in between—that are redefining what it means to practice dentistry.

Formerly sponsored by the Pride Institute, the Best of Class Technology Awards are now sponsored by Cellerant Consulting Group. While the name has changed, what the awards stand for has not—they remain unbiased and not-for-profit under the leadership of Lou Shuman, DMD, CAGS, and they continue to be what many call the Academy Awards of the dental industry.

In its September issue, Dental Economics will take a closer look at the awards with a special supplement. As a preview, we interviewed one of this year’s two-product award winners, AMD Lasers, a dental laser manufacturer that won for both its Picasso+ 7.0-watt soft-tissue laser and its LiteTouch Er:YAG dental laser. See our full interview below and keep an eye out for the full supplement coming this month.
